The Black Isle Charter
This is the charter of the Black Isle.
This charter is agreed upon those captains who served under Captain
Rodgers, and now call the island home. All those who are new to
the isle must agree to this charter to have the respect of the other
captains.
• Fighting on the isle must be done with fist or knife, and
cannot be to the death.
• If matters must be brought to a duel, then it goes to the
dueling bridge. There the terms must be agreed upon both parties,
and the results will be respected by both crews.
• No cannons shall be shot at another of the Black Isle ships
while in port or within a day's travel of the isle.
• The business of the captain and crews outside the isle,
shall remain so, and shall not have an impact upon those who live
and use the isle.
• The crews and captains shall respect those who live on
the isle.
• No one may go upon a ship they do not serve, without express
invitation from the captain of that vessel.
• Gamble at your own risk.
• It is up to the crews who sign this charter and the people
who live on the black isle to protect the isle from outside invaders.
• All ties to nations are suspended upon arriving at the
Black Isle. While we may still respect our homes, our old rulers
have no sway here. This is a free port.
• To respect the rules, there will be one person from each
crew, who is not the captain, to enforce the rules. These people
will work together to hold the rules
• There is to be no sorcery upon the isle.
• There will be one person who lives on the island full time
who will act as the captain for the island. The people on the island
will act as this person's crew, and will have the same representation
in charter as the crews.
• If there are any matters that cannot be agreed upon by
this charter, then each captain will go to his crew, and get their
views. He will then go to a captain's meeting where the captains
will have a quick vote on the matter, and shall then act accordingly.
Those who lose the vote must respect the vote and any changes to
the charter
